Two abstract painters with very different approaches to their work but similar artistic aims share the spotlight at Thomas Deans Fine Art in Interplay. Jeri Ledbetter and Rebecca Crowell are concerned with interplay of stimulus and emotional response, whether the stimulus is the rusted surfaces of abandoned building or rain-soaked fields of Ireland. Their paintings, both spontaneous and intuitive reflect their emotional responses.

Rebecca Crowell’s work has been described as “rich, lustrous, and above all, meditative.” Jeri Ledbetter’s has been described as projecting great energy, poetry, mystery, and charisma—“a masterful amalgam of sparseness and elegance,” in the words of one art writer.
