Signature is a contemporary craft gallery exhibiting three-dimensional works in a wide variety of media. Our focus on the well-designed object makes us unique in the gallery community. Our artists combine thoughtful concepts, innovative design, and a passion for materials which include ceramics, wood, metal, glass, textiles and mixed media.
The gallery carefully selects artists from across the U.S whose work informs the importance of craft practice. We indulge our love of ceramics by working with hundreds of emerging and established potters and ceramists. Among our artists are local, world-renowned woodturners Ed, Philip and Matt Moulthrop, three generations who have influenced and expanded contemporary wood working. Many of our artists working in wood, clay, glass and textiles make objects for the wall offering our clients an interesting alternative to compliment their painting or photography collections.
A nationally respected institution for sixty years, Signature strives to develop a broader awareness of handmade, one-off pieces, and to share our desire to enhance our lives with authentic and personal objects. To that end we curate a handmade section of the High Museum Shop where you may also find our artists work. Founded in the 1960s by the legendary Blanche Reeves, Signature is the oldest continuously-operated craft gallery in the nation.
We encourage you to come in to experience beautiful and important works of local and national significance, and to support independent artists and makers in your community.
